"Holiday Greeting 2000", a whimsical approach to the Christmas season that encourages user participation and creativity won Gold in the “Self Promotion CD-ROM / New Media” category and Silver in the “Other New Media” category. "Arrhythmia Online" is a Bronze winner in the “Web Site – Consumer Informational” category. This Key Opinion Leader web site was developed with the objective of providing members of the medical community with an opportunity to learn from the experts in the field of cardiology.. Utilizing Internet based technologies, physicians located in remote areas now have access to regional, national or global thought leaders regarding current clinical issues in the management of arrhythmias. Communication through the web site includes: questions submitted by users to a leading authority, live broadcasts with audience participation, and self help tests with expert interpretation. The Summit Creative Awards is designed to give smaller creative firms international recognition among their peers. The Awards, which began in 1994, have grown consistently over the years, with this year's competition receiving a record number of entries, more than 3,000, with participation from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Judges for the 2001 Summit Creative Awards were from J. Walter Thompson, frankcommunications, Waldbilig & Besterman, Inc., The Marketing Deli, Will Vinton Studios, Cole & Weber/Red Cell and Wieden & Kennedy. Entries in 16 media categories were judged against a stringent set of standards. Judges looked for innovative and creative concepts, strong execution and the ability to communicate and persuade.
